Bass
Fishing Facts
...Bass
Season
Opens
the third Saturday in June; Closes November
30th
...Bass
Limit;
5
per person, per day. Our smallmouth bass average
about 2 lbs. each but we catch many bass in the 3
lb. class and the occasional lunker smallmouth
could weigh over five (5) lbs.
...Size
Limit;
12"
minimum or larger
...Possession
limit;
2
days limit per person
...Peak
Season;
3rd
Saturday in June through September
1st
...Catch
Methods;
live
bait, tube jigs, crankbaits on ultra-light rods and
reels. Doubles and triple headers are commonplace
and the action can be fast and furious all day
long. Some of our parties have boated in excess of
100 bass in 6-8 hours. When the bass bite gets hot
and heavy you could actually get tired of catching
bass. (Imagine that!)
